Bloody Escape. Multhogobor can take the Disengage action as a bonus action on each of their turns. When Multhogobor does so, they can also make an attack as part of this bonus action.

The Harvest Call. When Multhogobor successfully hits a creature with a melee attack, he can choose to push the target up to 10 feet toward the nearest Shriek. If it is already within 20 feet of a Shriek, Multhogobor’s Basin of Souls gains soul fragments equivalent to the damage dealt.

Basin of Souls. Multhogobor has his own Basin of Souls contained within his body. He starts with 20 soul fragments in his Basin of Souls.

  • Unstable Basin. Every round, Multhogobor’s Basin of Souls drains by 5 soul fragments, and the Demon Lord gains that much temporary HP.

  • Shrieking Souls, Longing to Be Free. As a bonus action, Multhogobor empties his Basin of Souls. If he has fewer than 50 soul fragments, he harms himself to make up the difference, losing 2 HP for each soul fragment he is missing. When he does so, a Shriek is created adjacent to him.

  • The Reaping. As a bonus action, Multhogobor activates his Basin of Souls. All creatures within 30 feet of Multhogobor must make a DC 20 Charisma saving throw. On a failure they take 1d6 necrotic damage, or half as much on a success. Multhogobor’s Basin of Souls gains soul fragments equal to double the amount of necrotic damage dealt this way.

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If Multhogobor fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.

Actions

Multiattack. Multhogobor uses Reaping Leap if he can. He then makes three attacks with his scythe or uses squeal.

Scythe. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10ft., one target. Hit: 17 (2d12+4) slashing damage. On a critical hit, this damage is dealt to an additional creature within range as necrotic damage.

Squeal. Multhogobor releases a horrifying screech, forcing all creatures within a 20-foot-radius of the Demon Lord to make a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, a creature takes 22 (4d10) psychic damage and is stunned until the end of its next turn. On a successful save, it instead takes half damage and isn’t stunned. As a bonus action, Multhogobor can choose a Shriek within 300 feet to also echo this squeal in a 20-foot-radius. The Shriek’s Basin of Souls gains soul fragments equal to half the sum of damage dealt to all creatures.

Reaping Leap. Burning Souls (Recharge 5-6). Multhogobor teleports in a puff of black smoke up to 60 feet to a Shriek within range. Clinging to the top of the Shriek, he can deposit as many soul fragments as he wants into its Basin of Souls. If he desposits at least 10 soul fragments, his scythe glows with dark energy and he may leap in a straight line to another Shriek within 120 feet, dragging his scythe along the ground as he does so. Any creature in this line must make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 19 (3d12) slashing damage and 27 (6d8) necrotic damage. On a successful save, they take half of the necrotic damage. Multhogobor’s Basin of Souls gains 1 soul fragment for every 5 necrotic damage a creature takes.

Multhogobor may repeat his leap from Shriek to Shriek as many time as he wants until his Basin of Souls runs out of soul fragments. He cannot jump to a Shriek he has already jumped to in this way this turn.

Reactions

The Shrieking Lord. When a creature enters within 20 feet of a Shriek, Multhogobor can sense it. He lets loose a psychic howl through all Shrieks within 120 feet. All enemy creatures within 20 feet of a Shriek in this range must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw, becoming paralyzed until the start of their next turn.

Legendary Actions

Multhogobor can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Multhogobor regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Scythe Attack. Multhogobor makes a scythe attack.

Black Shriek. All obelisks within 120 feet of Multhogobor release a surge of dark energy, which pierces the consciousness of enemies. Each enemy creature within 10 feet of a Shriek must succeed on a DC 19 Constitution saving throw or take 11 (2d10) psychic damage and become deafened.

Obelisk Manipulation (Costs 2 Actions). Multhogobor moves a Shriek up to 30 feet.
